“Grand Hotel Palatino, Rome”

Would definitely stay at this hotel again. Beautiful inside and out. Clean and modern. We had a suite which was beautifully appointed. Bathroom with large tub/shower combo plus and separate stall shower and double sinks. Location just a few minutes walk from the Colliseum, train/bus station, tour buses and literally hundreds of restaurants, snack bars, coffee bars, shops and gelato.

“Smart Hotel, Great Location”

Arrival: helpful reception staff - who spoke good English, which was appreciated - but the reception area was quite chaotic.

Rooms: extremely smart - recently decorated to a high standard, very clean and comfortable and with very good facilities. Our room was at the back of the hotel so there was very little outside noise.

Breakfast: good buffet with a good range of hot and cold dishes, including bacon, egg and Italian hams. Proper tea & coffee (no vending machines); can't fault it.

Internet: not used. Wifi in rooms but requires payment.

Area: very close to the Colosseum, very handy for the historic centre and easy to find. Plenty of restaurants close by.

Connections: close to the Metro and bus stops - very well-connected.

Overall: great stay.

The hotel is located within 10 minutes far from Collosseo by foot and 15 minutes from Termini. Excellent view from the 8th floor. Polite and helpful personnel. Various breakfast.

“Awesome location awesome hotel”

It was in an awesome location by the colloseum. The room was very nicely upkept. The lounge was cool and the breakfast was ample. Helpful staff too.

“An Excellent Base”

We had an extremely good stay at the Grand Hotel Palatino - The accommodation was excellent and the self-service breakfast offered plenty of choice. Staff were very helpful - nothing was too much trouble and all were very courteous.

The hotel's location is very central and an easy walk from the major historic sites. There is also a Metro station two minutes walk away... We would certainly return here and would recommend this hotel as an excellent base from which to explore the city.
