The history of Piazza di Spagna<\/strong> dates back to the 17th century, when the area was known as platea Trinitatis<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The current name comes from the Spanish Palace (Palazzo di Spagna<\/em>), which has hosted the Spanish Embassy to the Holy See since the 1600s.<\/p>\n
