From Wednesday, October 14 to Sunday, October 25, 2026, Rome will host the 21st edition of the Rome Film Fest, with its main venue at the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone.
One of the most eagerly awaited film events of the Roman autumn, the festival features premieres, competitions, special screenings, meetings with directors and actors, tributes and retrospectives, attracting film enthusiasts, industry professionals and an international audience.
The festival is organized by the Fondazione Cinema per Roma, chaired by Salvatore Nastasi, with Paola Malanga as Artistic Director. Once again, the heart of the programme will be Progressive Cinema – Visions for the World of Tomorrow, the international competition dedicated to new trends in contemporary cinema, alongside the Freestyle, Grand Public and Best of 2026 sections.

The festival will officially open on October 14, 2026, with Il rumore delle cose nuove by Paolo Genovese, presented in the Grand Public section. The cast includes Emanuela Fanelli, Claudia Pandolfi, Vittoria Puccini, Stefano Accorsi, Lino Musella, Edoardo Pesce and Claudio Santamaria.
The full programme of the 2026 Rome Film Fest, including all films, guests, meetings and scheduled events, will be officially announced in early October 2026.
