- Visit to museums: the Easter weekend includes special openings of numerous museums and art galleries. Among the must-see museums are the Uffizi Gallery, the Accademia Gallery, the Medici Chapels, the Bargello Museum, the Civic Museums, Palazzo Vecchio;
- Scoppio del Carro: it is the most awaited event in Florence. It has been held on Easter Day for over 350 years. In the course of the morning, a large tower (Brindellone), 2-3 storeys high and packed with fireworks, is hauled through the streets of Florence by a team of oxen. The procession includes flag-wavers, percussionists, representatives of the clergy and institutions. The cart, finally, reaches Piazza del Duomo, in front of the Cathedral. During the religious service, around 11:00 a.m., the archbishop launches a dove-shaped rocket from the altar. This runs through a long tightrope, from the inside of the church to the cart. The dove hits the Brindellone, triggering the fireworks on it, starting the fireworks display;
- Easter markets: many are the stalls located in different areas of the city, where you can find cosmetics, handicrafts, souvenirs, toys and so much more;
- In the open air in the gardens: Florence is a city having a wealth of gardens with extraordinary charm and characterized by colorful plants and particular trees. Among the most beautiful gardens are the Boboli Gardens, the Iris Gardens, the Bardini Gardens, the Tulip Park of Scandicci, the Medici Villa of Castello, the Medici Villa La Petraia, the Garden of Villa Gamberaia, the Rose Garden;
